Joel, percussionist and younger brother of famed be-bop trumpeter Kenny Dorham, has lead an eight piece latin jazz group for over 30 years in the Bay Area.
In 1970, Cal Tjader gave Joel my name and I worked periodically with him until 2004.
He only does about six to eight dates a year so I could usually squeeze it in.
