I met Kent Brinkley in Freddie Hubbard's band in 1971 (this photo is circa early 70's).
We became friends and later, in L.A., I worked a lot in his band called—appropriately—Brinks!
With all the studio players in that band, we were the hit of the Pico Blvd. crowd....
Update: Kent died too soon in Feb. 2010 at age 60. Damn...
